Directions to Lodge Yard

From the South and South East

Travel North on A1 and leave dual carriageway at Leeming Services, approximately 29 miles north of Wetherby. Travel time to Lodge Yard approximately 1 hour from here and if you anticipate arriving before check-in time at 3.30, there are a number of tea shops in Bedale and Leyburn to choose from. Turn left as you leave the slip road onto A684 to Bedale (approx 2 miles). In Bedale, bear left over bridge and turn right at crossroads at top of hill. Remain on A684 towards Leyburn, continue through the market place to the mini roundabout in front of the Bolton Arms Hotel.

Turn left keeping on A684 signposted to Hawes. Remain on this road, passing through the villages of Wensley, West Witton and Aysgarth to Bainbridge. In Bainbridge, continue through the village to the T-junction and turn right. After 100 metres turn left, outside the Rose and Crown and drive down the hill over the bridge to the T-junction. Turn right towards Askrigg (about 1 mile). On entering Askrigg bear right just past the Church when you will see the Kings Arms immediately on the left. Turn left into Lodge Yard through a narrow archway about 30 metres past the Kings Arms.

From the North and North East

Travel South on A1 and leave dual carriageway at Scotch Corner. Travel time to Lodge Yard approximately 1 hour from here and if you anticipate arriving before check-in time at 3.30, there are a number of tea shops in Richmond to choose from. Take third exit from the inter-change onto A6108 to Richmond. On entering Richmond take the first exit at the first roundabout and drive down the hill to traffic lights. Continue straight on at these lights to the next (mini) roundabout and again continue straight on. At the next roundabout in about 200 metres turn right (third exit) and leave Richmond on the Reeth Road. In about 4 miles, bear left at the fork in the road keeping on the A6108. In about 3 miles, turn right at the T-junction and in about half a mile turn left towards Leyburn.

Pass through the village of Bellerby and enter Leyburn in about 3 miles. At the mini roundabout in Leyburn, (market place on the left and Bolton Arms Hotel on the right) continue straight on (second exit) onto A684 signposted to Hawes. Continue on this road, passing through the villages of Wensley, West Witton and Aysgarth to Bainbridge. In Bainbridge, continue through the village to the T-junction and turn right. After 100 metres turn left outside the Rose and Crown and drive down the hill over the bridge to the T-junction. Turn right towards Askrigg (about 1 mile). From the South West and North West

Leave the M6 motorway at Junction 37 and travel east on the A684 towards Sedbergh and Hawes. Travel time to Lodge Yard approximately 1 hour from here and if you anticipate arriving before check-in time at 3.30, there are a number of tea shops in Hawes to choose from. On entering Sedbergh ignore the alternative route signs on the right and continue into the village. Turn right immediately in front of the 'No Vehicles' sign, (these apply only to the main street) and in 100 metres at the mini roundabout turn sharp left. In ¾ mile turn right on to A684 road to Hawes.

After about 15 miles enter Hawes and continue through the main street to the end where the road bears left. Leave Hawes on A684 signposted to Leyburn. After about 4 miles on entering Bainbridge, turn left at the Rose & Crown and drive down the hill over the hill to the T-junction. At the junction turn right towards Askrigg (about 1 mile).On entering Askrigg bear right just past the Church when you will see the Kings Arms immediately on the left. Turn left into Lodge Yard through a narrow archway about 30 metres past the Kings Arms.
