Close to the centre of the National Park is Wensleydale and the small town of Askrigg, which was celebrated as 'Darrowby' in the popular TV series 'All Creatures Great and Small'. Lodge Yard, the Holiday Property Bond's Yorkshire Dales home, is adjacent to the local pub, The Kings Arms, which featured in the James Herriot stories as 'The Drovers'.

Straddling the central Pennines in the counties of North Yorkshire and Cumbria, the Dales National Park combines breathtaking scenery, rich wildlife and an unrivalled cultural heritage.

Packed into this area is a fascinating variety of natural attractions, from rolling moors and spectacular limestone crags, to the famous Three Peaks of Ingleborough, Pen-y-Ghent and Whernside and the awesome yawning cavern of Gaping Gill.
